How it works

From upload to live in 3 steps

Steam's "Broadcast Live" lets a developer push a live RTMP feed to their own store page. We automate that feed so you never have to keep a machine streaming.

1

Get your Steam token

In Steamworks, enable Broadcast Live for your game and grab your RTMP upload URL + token. Takes a minute.

2

Upload your video

Drop in your trailer or a gameplay capture. We transcode it to Steam's exact broadcast spec so it's accepted every time.

3

Go live & forget it

Hit start. We loop your video to Steam non-stop, auto-restarting if anything hiccups. Your page stays live 24/7.

Features

Built for Steam developers

Everything you need to turn a static store page into a live one, and nothing you don't.

ENCODING

Steam-spec encoding

Auto-transcoded to High@4.1, 1080p, 2s GOP, ≤6 Mbps CBR + AAC. Steam-compliant, no guesswork.

UPTIME

True 24/7 loop

Your video repeats seamlessly forever. No file-size or time limits on the loop.

RELIABILITY

Self-healing

If the connection drops, we relaunch automatically within seconds. You stay live.

SCALE

Multiple games

Run a separate stream per App ID. One dashboard, every title you ship.

VISIBILITY

Live status & logs

See exactly what each stream is doing, with raw broadcast logs a click away.

BILLING

Pay per minute

Billed by the minute at $0.0005/min and stops automatically when your balance runs out.

NETWORK

Datacenter uplink

Stable, fast outbound, far more reliable than streaming from your office network.

SECURITY

Your keys, protected

Your RTMP token is stored for your streams only and never shown back in plain text.

Background

What are Steam Store Broadcasts?

Store Broadcasts is a Steam feature that puts a livestream right on your game's store page, developer homepage or sales landing page. A selection of broadcasts is even surfaced on the Steam store landing page: a real shot at attention.

They're especially powerful during Steam events, where a streaming schedule reserves broadcast spots inside the event itself.

The catch: video has to reach Steam over RTMP, a live protocol. You can't just upload a file like on YouTube. It has to be sent in real time by streaming software. That's the part we automate.

FAQ

Questions

Yes. Broadcasting to a store page requires a Steam account with the Broadcast Live permission (or Store Broadcast Beta membership) that owns the game. You generate your own RTMP token in Steamworks and paste it into 247Streamer; we never need your Steam password.
Anything 16:9 works: your trailer, a captured gameplay session, or a sizzle reel. We re-encode it to Steam’s required format automatically. Longer loops feel more “live.”
Yes. Streams run from our datacenter, not your machine. If a broadcast drops we relaunch it automatically. It keeps going until you stop it or your credit hits zero.
You add credit to your account. While a stream is live it costs $0.72/day (just $0.0005/minute), billed by the minute. When your balance reaches zero the stream stops on its own, and there’s never an overage charge.
The engine is RTMP-based, so multi-destination simulcast is on the roadmap. Today the focus is Steam store-page broadcasts, which is what moves wishlists.
